Description: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization. Classification: Licensed Practical Nurse Union: AUPE AUX Unit and Program: Acute Care, Obstetrics Primary Location: St. Paul Health Centre Location Details: As Per Location Multi-Site: Not Applicable FTE: 0.50 Posting End Date: 28-SEP-2026 Temporary Employee Class: Temporary Part Time Date Available: 08-OCT-2026 Temporary End Date: 27-FEB-2027 Hours per Shift: 11.25 Length of Shift in weeks: 12 Shifts per cycle: 21 Shift Pattern: Days, Nights, Weekends Days Off: As Per Rotation Minimum Salary: $33.16 Maximum Salary: $43.42 Vehicle Requirement: Not Applicable Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP). Additional Required Qualifications: The position does require the successful applicant to have experience in wound care, IV initiation and medication administration, IV oral intramuscular and subcutaneous. Preferred Qualifications: Previous Connect Care (Rural Nurse), Labour and Delivery and post-partum experience or a willingness to train is a must. As this facility cares for a variety of clients experience or training in palliative care is beneficial. The following is also preferred: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Fetal Heart Surveillance (FHS) training in LEAD II.

Applicants must have completed an accredited practical nurse education program and hold active registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta. Experience in wound care, IV initiation, and medication administration is required, along with current BCLS-HCP certification.
