BayCare is currently in search of our newest Occupational Therapist – Pediatrics (Pool/PRN) who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community. St. Joseph's Children's Hospital is well known throughout the southeast United States as a leader in pediatric heart and cancer care. With over 170 pediatric physician specialists representing 25 medical and surgical disciplines, the staff offers the care St. Joseph's Children's Hospital is known for. This is a Pediatric Pool position with the opportunity to evaluate and treat throughout St Joseph’s Children’s Hospital including the PICU, CPICU and NICU as well as in outpatient. 3 to 5 years Pediatric experience preferred. Bilingual a plus. Pediatric Occupational Therapist Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity function, feeding, and developmental milestones. Develop individualized, age-appropriate treatment plans and therapeutic goals in collaboration with families and medical providers. Provide evidence-based interventions to support functional performance in self-care, play, school readiness, and social participation. Educate caregivers and family members on home programs, adaptive equipment, and strategies for continued progress outside the hospital. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physical therapists, speech-language pathologists, nurses, physicians, psychologists, and social workers. Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries according to hospital standards and regulatory guidelines. Participate in patient rounds, case conferences, and discharge planning. Ensure safe, child-friendly, and developmentally supportive treatment environments. Maintain up-to-date knowledge in pediatric occupational therapy practices, standards, and regulatory requirements. A supervising licensed Occupational Therapist may only supervise 1 permittee at any given time. Exigences
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and BLS certification. Preferred candidates have 3 to 5 years of pediatric experience and bilingual capabilities.
