Personal Support Worker (PSW) - Mississauga/Etobicoke area

We are looking for Personal Support Workers (PSW) who are interested and available to work in a home and facility settings located in Mississauga or Etobicoke. We provide dedicated healthcare services to private homes, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, retirement residences, clinics, outpatient wellness, and company workplace settings. Scope and Responsibilities Home Care Setting * Ensure client safety is maintained at all times. * Assist clients with overall daily hygiene including bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing. * Support clients with ambulation, transfers, and mobility through mobility aids such as wheelchairs to avoid fall and injury. * Assist clients with their meals by aiding with eating, ensuring proper nutrition, and ensuring dietary requirements are being met as well as monitoring dietary restrictions. * Provide emotional support and companionship to the clients by listening to their needs, being attentive, engaging in a conversation, and providing encouragement and reassurance to promote social interaction. * Monitor changes in behavior, health, and overall well-being. Facility Setting * Provide care to the clients in accordance with the facility or hospital's instructions and directives * Assist staff within the facility as necessary Minimum Qualifications * Personal Support Worker (PSW) diploma from an accredited institution * NACC certificate if credentials were obtained from a private career college * Has a valid First Aid and CPR certificate * Has a valid Mask Fit certificate * Has the basic skills and knowledge in caregiving such as personal care techniques, infection control, and basic medical terms * Working knowledge of spoken and written English and ability to take direction from appropriate professional hospital employees C-Care Health Services is an equal opportunity employer, and we remain committed to establishing a hiring process that is fair, equal, and inclusive. Candidates must hold a Personal Support Worker diploma and valid First Aid, CPR, and Mask Fit certifications. Proficiency in English and basic caregiving knowledge are required.
