(pay range explained below)* Contract: Casual-flexible rotations Hours: 8:30am-4:30pm (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri) Location: Onsite- Various locations - Yunesit'in (Alexis Creek), Neskonlith, Lillooet, Lytton, Housing is available at all sites and travel will be compensated Bargaining Unit: PIPSC BCFNHA Group (Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada) What We Offer Education Allowance: Up to $3,850 Robust Pension Plan Housing accommodation and travel About The Role As a Community Health Nurse, you will provide a comprehensive range of core nursing functions and services in remote First Nations communities in program areas of community and public heath, primary care, and urgent and emergent care. This includes health promotion and disease and injury prevention for individuals, families, groups, communities, and populations. About You To be successful in this role you will have/be; Education Bachelor’s degree in nursing from a recognized university or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Occupational Certification And Requirements Obtain and maintain Basic Life Support Certification Level C; Completion of a recognized specialty nursing program is an asset Requires a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License Experience Minimum one (1) year of recent point-of-care nursing experience in a related or relevant field Public Health Nursing experience required Please refer to Job Specification section of the Job Description for more details. Working at FNHA A Casual employee will not be entitled to the Employer’s benefit plan, vacation or designated holidays and will instead be paid a premium of 13% for all straight time hours worked.
