The position exists to protect, restore and promote health and reduce the incidence of disease and disability through health promotion, health protection and disease/injury prevention activities. Department of Health The Department of Health (HEA) is responsible for health services and social programming in Nunavut. Staff at HEA work to improve the health and well-being of Nunavummiut by addressing the differing needs of each community through culturally appropriate programs and services.

Provide a full continuum of public health services to community individuals according to program standards. Focus on protecting, restoring, and promoting health while reducing disease and disability incidence.

Requires a Bachelor Degree of Nursing or a Diploma in Nursing with a Public Health Certificate and at least two years of experience. Candidates must be eligible for registration with RNANTNU and pass a criminal record and vulnerable sector check.
