Position #: 074889 Union: SUN Facility: Pinehouse Health Centre City/Town: Pinehouse Lake Department: Primary Care Sites Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days, Standby Hours of Work: 224 hours per 6 weeks Relief: No Float: No Field Hours: No Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse C $45.830 to $56.140 Travel Required: No Job Description: The Primary Care Nurse, AAP provides nursing services to clients in communities without hospitals or resident physicians but where physicians work within agreements with the employer to provide medical services on a regular, visiting basis. The RN, AAP provides a broad range of health care services for the client and the community. The RN, AAP is responsible for the overall leadership of nursing services. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience * Two (2) years nursing experience Education * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) Licenses * Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) * International Trauma Life Support Advanced Certificate (ITLS) * Valid Class 5 driver's license * Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS) * Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS) Knowledge and Abilities * Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team * Knowledge of diverse health issues, culture and traditions * Ability to engage in community program consultation. * Ability to communicate with and deal effectively with clients and their families * Ability to adapt to changing conditions Other Information * May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives * Pinehouse Lake is located approximately 348 km north of Prince Albert * Registered/Eligible for registration with CRNS as an RN(AAP) * For more information on the village of Pinehouse Lake please visit http://www.pinehouselake.com/ The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment.
