Position #: 9013769 Expected Start Date: September 30, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Birchview Home City/Town: Birch Hills Department: Primary Care Sites Type: Part-time temporary Expected Up to Date: August 31, 2027 FTE: 0.5 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 7 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Standard Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: In collaboration with Physicians and the Primary Care Team, the Nurse Practitioner will provide primary health care services to several communities. This includes: health promotion and protection, disease and injury prevention, provision of supportive, instructive, treatment and emergency services; collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals; conducting community needs assessments and participating in evaluative projects. The incumbent reports to the Director of Primary Care for the Region. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience * Experience in community needs assessment/development, health promotion * 2 - 3 years experience as a Primary Care Nurse or Nurse Practitioner preferred. * Three (3) years full-time experience as a Registered Nurse Education * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) * Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP) Licenses * Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) * Basic Life Support Level C Certificate (BLS-C) * Valid Class 5 driver's license Other Education and Training * Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or other trauma assessment course desired Knowledge and Abilities * Knowledge in community development * Ability to competently use computers and software applications * Works well as a team member & mentor, strong leadership & interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently and as a leader of a multidisciplinary team * Working knowledge in health promotion * Working knowledge of community needs assessment * Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice Other Information * Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) * For more information on the town of Birch Hills please visit http://birchhills.ca/ * Birch Hills is located approximately 38 km southeast of Prince Albert * May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives * Scheduled hours of work may be reduced when a statutory holiday is recognized The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment. Exigences

Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner degree, along with valid CRNS registration. At least three years of full-time experience as a Registered Nurse and relevant certifications like ACLS and BLS-C are required.
