Position #: 156034 Expected Start Date: September 07, 2026 Union: SUN Facility: Meadow Lake Primary Health Care Centre City/Town: Meadow Lake Department: Primary Care Site - PHC Meadow Lake Professional Staff Type: Full-time regular FTE: 1 Shift Information: Days Number of Hours per Rotation: 14 shifts of 8 hours per 3 weeks Relief: No Float: No Hours of Work: Field Hours Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Nurse Practitioner $52.590 to $62.910 Travel Required: Yes Job Description: This Nurse Practitioner (NP) role provides autonomous, evidence-informed care across continuing care, long-term care, primary health care, acute care, urgent care, and emergency settings. The position will report to and work under the direction of a manager in one of the designated program areas. Practicing within Saskatchewan Health Authority policies, CRNS standards, and legislated NP scope, the NP assesses, diagnoses, treats, prescribes, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, performs authorized procedures, and evaluates care for clients with common acute illnesses, stable chronic conditions, urgent and emergent needs, and health promotion priorities as the most responsible provider (MRP). The NP works collaboratively with clients, families, physicians, multi-disciplinary teams, community partners, and managers to support safe, person-centred, culturally responsive, and coordinated care. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience * Min. 3 years RN exp. in Emergency, Acute, LTC, Continuing Care, Primary Care Education * Master's degree in nursing Licenses * Valid Class 5 driver's license Other Education and Training * Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS) * Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS) * Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS) training * Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS) Knowledge and Abilities * Demonstrates skills in safety initiatives and service innovation * Ability to work autonomously with high levels of responsibility & accountability * Knowledge in research processes and program evaluation * Knowledge in disease and injury prevention, health protection and harm reduction * Ability to lead, mentor, and support staff in a collaborative team environment * Demonstrates capacity to plan, implement and evaluate multiple assessments * Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously * Ability to apply evidence-based decision making * Knowledge in chronic disease prevention and management * Knowledge in consultation * Respects Indigenous health priorities, community context, client values * Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to practice autonomously within NP scope, legislation, CRNS standards * Adaptability for competing/changing patient priorities, situations, environment * Integrates clinical knowledge/experience to support electronic documentation * Knowledge in wellness and holistic models of health care * Knowledgeable a trauma informed approach to patient and family care * Knowledge of diverse, culturally safe and representative workforce * Demonstrated ability to use sound clinical judgement * Proven conflict resolution skills * Working knowledge in health promotion * Demonstrates skills in clinical governance, research-informed practice * Knowledge in significance of quality improvement * Demonstrates leadership abilities * Communicates through therapeutic relationships, client and family education * Knowledge of social determinants/resource evaluation for assessment/mngment plan * Able to practice autonomously within SHA policies, clinical practice guidelines * Ability to integrate clinical knowledge and experience into clinical practice * Ability to take initiative Other Information * May be eligible for additional incentives, please see Ministry of Health website * Multisite position serving Meadow Lake Hospital, PHC & NWCL * Registered/eligible for registration with the CRNS as RN (NP) * For more information on the city of Meadow Lake please visit https://www.meadowlake.ca/ * May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives * Travel required to provide services within the area * Standby may be required.
