Perform cardiopulmonary diagnostic tests, such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests. Monitor and operate respiratory therapy equipment delivering oxygen therapy, ventilatory support, medical gases, and humidification. Provide mechanical ventilation management and monitor patient response. Assist physicians with airway management, including intubation, inductions, and line insertions. Provide artificial respiration and external cardiac resuscitation when needed.
