About the role
Merrickville Drug Mart is a well-established, family-owned pharmacy that has proudly served the Merrickville community since 1978. We are currently seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and highly professional Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our expanding pharmacy team.
In this important role, you will contribute significantly to patient health and safety by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of PacMed compliance packaging and blister pack medications for both long-term care and community patients. Working collaboratively with an experienced pharmacy team under the supervision of a pharmacist, you will be part of a professional and supportive work environment where your expertise and contributions are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct final checks and accuracy verification of PacMed and blister pack medications
Ensure prescriptions are processed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with pharmacy standards
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all applicable pharmacy regulations and privacy legislation
Enter prescription information into the pharmacy management system as required
Assist with inventory management and pharmacy stock control procedures
Communicate professionally with pharmacists, patients, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers
Support the resolution of insurance billing issues as required
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workflow environment
Qualifications
Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
Previous experience with PacMed and blister packaging preferred
Experience using the Kroll pharmacy management system considered an asset
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proficiency in computer applications and data entry
Previous long-term care pharmacy experience considered an asset
Compensation
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
