About the role
M|CARE Occupational Therapy & Rehabilitation is a leading occupational therapy practice which offers specialized occupational therapy services to children, teens, adults and older adults in the community.
Our Ottawa-Gatineau clinical team is looking for bilingual motivated, hard-working and self-driven occupational therapy assistant with experience working with children to join our growing team.
The OTA will have the opportunity to work on varied caseload, to work with organizations, and community partners, and to support their clients in attaining their therapeutic goals and beyond. Possibility of also working with an adult clientele.

*The ideal candidate: * Is self-directed and able to work independently; Is motivated to learn new skills; Demonstrates professionalism and empathy; Has the ability to be flexible and adaptable through their communication skills; Has strong clinical reasoning and problem solving skills;
*The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements: * Has a degree from a recognized OTA program, or equivalent; Has a current registration in good standing (or ability to register) with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT); Has experience supporting clients with mental health needs (1 year + preferred); Has an interest working in the community; Has professional level proficiency in both English and French (oral and written); Holds a driver's licence and has access to a vehicle;

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- Occupational therapy assistant (pediatrics): 1 year (preferred)
Language:
- French (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- OT Assistant /Physiotherapy Assistant Diploma (required)
