Nursing Resource Team As a Resource Team RPN, you will be available to float to all units of the hospital as required. Qualifications Graduate of recognized Diploma Program in Practical Nursing; Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Knowledge of CNO Standards regarding RPN scope of practice. Understanding of MHA and relevant legislation. CPR/AED Certification within the last 2 years. Completion of Prevention of Violence in the Workplace training (C.P.I.) required. Commitment to ongoing professional development Technical skills such as glucometer reading, vital signs, injection skills, physical assessment/mental health assessment, catheterization, medication administration, O2 administration, basic wound care, suctioning, safe patient handling, bladder scanning, ECT recovery, skin care and feeding Ability to develop therapeutic relations with patients Ability to function as a member of the inter-disciplinary team Basic computer skills required English level A- is mandatory in oral comprehension, expression, reading and writing. Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset. Preferred Qualifications Two years recent experience in psychiatric/mental health nursing Knowledge of mechanical lifts, transferring and positioning techniques Salary Range: 35.36 to 37.05 per hour Additional Information All applicants must provide a recent resume that clearly indicate that they meet the required qualifications.
