Work Settings

Our PSWs support clients across a variety of care environments, including:

• Private homes
• Hospitals
• Long-term care facilities
• Retirement residences

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Assist with mobility and transfers
• Support with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and medication reminders
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client care and observations

Minimum Requirements

• Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized program
• CPR and First Aid Certification (current)
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (as required by client setting)
• Vulnerable Sector Police Check (current or willing to obtain)
• Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
• Reliable transportation (asset)

• Comfortable working independently or as part of a care team
• Open availability is a strong asset
