Job Duties

Upload course content, check links and content prior to the start of the course, update resources as needed, communicate with students regularly, mark assignments, monitor student progress, provide timely and constructive feedback, manage and review exam submissions as required, finalize official grades.

Create an outline for the lab day (s), review packing list(s) from lab, prepare the room and supplies prior to the start time and cleanup afterwards, teach and demonstrate delated skills, provide scenarios and answer student’s questions, complete performance skill testing as required, submit any required paperwork to Continuing Education.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

Required Qualifications

  1. Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with degree in Nursing, Education or related subject area or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

  2. Current registration with the CRNS or CRPNS

  3. Minimum two years of relevant clinical/teaching experience in geriatric care (i.e Long-Term Care, Rehabilitation, Home Care, Community Care, or Acute Care Medical Units).

  4. Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.

  5. Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software, and the ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.

  6. Effective instructional ability.

  7. Effective interpersonal skills.

  8. Effective communication (oral and written skills).

  9. Demonstrates valuing diversity.

  10. Valid Saskatchewan Driver’s license.
