About this Role We are seeking a dedicated Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) specializing in Orthodontics to join our progressive, state-of-the-art practice. This permanent, full-time opportunity is distributed across our five modern Edmonton locations. We are looking for a self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented professional who brings a caring and compassionate approach to patient care. A positive attitude and a strong commitment to professional excellence are essential for success in this role Responsibilities & Duties Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Prepare patients for dental examinations and assist the Orthodontist/Dentist during examinations and treatments Taking precise diagnostic records, including digital X-rays, intraoral scans, and clinical photographs Prepare teeth for bonding and assist with the placement and removal of orthodontic appliances Place and remove orthodontic archwires, ligatures and clear attachments Educated patients and parents on oral hygiene, appliance care and compliance Manage orthodontic emergencies, including trimming long wires and comforting patients Assist the Pediatric Dentistry team as needed Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment Additional duties may be assigned as required Education and Certifications The successful candidate will meet the following education and credential requirements: Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant Program is a requirement Active registration and certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) in Alberta is a requirement Successful completion of the Orthodontic Module is a requirement Current CPR / Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Successful completion of the Scaling Module is an asset Skills & Experience We are looking for a professional who demonstrates the following clinical and interpersonal skills: Proficient in English, both written and verbal Computer proficient; able to learn new software quickly. Ortho2Edge and Curve Hero are used at our clinic Experience in an Orthodontic clinic is an asset Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively with children of all ages Available to work during applicable business hours Willing to be cross-trained in orthodontic and pediatric procedures Willing to travel between 5 different clinic locations Benefits Uniforms provided by the employer Comprehensive group benefits program Travel incentive for multi-location work Vacation pay

Assist orthodontists and dentists with examinations, treatments, and the placement or removal of orthodontic appliances. Manage diagnostic records, patient education on oral hygiene, and the sterilization of clinical equipment.

Requires completion of an accredited Dental Assistant Program and active RDA registration in Alberta, including the Orthodontic Module. Current CPR/BLS certification is mandatory, while the Scaling Module is considered an asset.
