Social Workers are primarily concerned with the relationships between people and their environments, which are integral to psychosocial, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. The social determinants of health are embedded in social work theory and practice and are the focus for the dynamic and interactive process of engagement, assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation. Social Workers build upon the strengths of patients/clients by focusing on existing coping strategies and problem-solving skills, past successes, and personal resources.About You We would love to hear from you if you have the following: • Bachelor's degree in Social Work from a recognized university• Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers• 2 years' post BSW related clinical experience required• Previous experience working in community-based setting preferred• Demonstrated ability to use a client-/family-centered approach• Familiarity with various evidence-based treatment approaches including Motivational Interviewing and behavioiur change counselling• Demonstrated experience with group facilitation• Ability to complete biopsychosocial assessments• Excellent communication skills• Demonstrated ability to assist patients and families with navigation of local community resources and agencies• Valid Nova Scotia Driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle• Ability to demonstrate effective time management and disciplined self-organization• Demonstrated comfort and skills working collaboratively with community partners• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Please ensure your resume is up-to-date and includes all relevant education, experience, training and certifications.Hours Permanent Part-time position; 56.25 hours bi-weekly Shifts will include weekdays, weekends and holidays. The social worker provides collaborative, holistic care as part of an interdisciplinary team, focusing on the psychosocial, emotional, and spiritual well-being of patients. Responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, facilitating groups, and assisting families with navigating community resources.

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and be registered with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers. A minimum of 2 years of post-BSW clinical experience and a valid driver's license are required.
