Registered Nurse - Gynaecology

The Role You need to have a live NMC UK pin in order to be considered for this post. The department is Gynaecology. We are predominantly a surgical ward. We look after pregnant patients up to 12 weeks gestation with various issues as well as oncology patients. The ward has a mini emergency dept within it. We see emergencies from GP/A&E plus provide some return appointments through this service also. All other roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern: Location based in Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Part-time position (18 hours per week) Fixed-term Contract for 1 year Key Responsibilities Post op care Admissions/Discharges Basic patient care, helping with daily ADLs. Catheter care and venflon management. Venepuncture, IV administation, Hepma, palliative care Observations and NEWS recording, MUST scoring, Active care/fluid balance/food record charts, Admin and IT systems Learnpro and Infection control measures. Provide surgical and oncology care for gynaecology patients, including those up to 12 weeks gestation. Responsibilities include post-operative care, IV administration, and managing a mini emergency department within the ward.
