Opsis Eye Care is a full-scope, patient-focused optometry clinic in the heart of Downtown Markham, and we?re looking for a friendly, fast-learning, and hardworking *Optometric Assistant* to join our growing team. We are currently hiring for *permanent part-time position*. *What We?re Looking For* The ideal candidate: * Speaks *English* fluently and is *proficient in Cantonese and/or Mandarin* * Enjoys working with people and providing *exceptional customer service* * Is a *quick learner*, adaptable, and not afraid of multitasking in a fast-paced environment * Has a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to help others * Has an interest in *healthcare, vision care*, and continuous learning Previous experience in an optometry or healthcare setting is an asset but *not required* ? we provide *comprehensive training* for the right candidate. *Your Role* As an Optometric Assistant, your responsibilities will include: * Welcoming patients and creating a warm, caring clinic experience * Managing phone calls, booking appointments, and handling electronic medical records * Processing OHIP and private insurance billing, coordinating referrals, and managing incoming/outgoing faxes * Assisting with pre-testing procedures such as auto-refraction, topography, biometry, fundus imaging, and more * Helping patients select frames and lenses, making minor eyeglass adjustments and repairs * Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional work environment * Participating in team training, continuing education, and staff development *Why Join Opsis Eye Care?* * Supportive, team-oriented clinic culture * On-the-job training and opportunities to learn about *vision science and healthcare* * Work in a modern, well-equipped clinic in a vibrant neighborhood * Be part of a team that truly cares about its patients and staff *How to Apply* If you?re enthusiastic about joining a positive and caring clinic where your work truly matters, we?d love to hear from you.
