Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) OR Clinical Medical Assistant, Ophthalmology - 19128

As the Ophthalmic Assistant, you would work in support of the Physician and assist in the development, implementation and evaluation of patient care in the office. You will be required to coordinate the care with other Penn Highlands services or outside health care providers. You will serve as a liaison between the physician, the mid-level provider and all other health care providers. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant OR completion of a Clinical Medical -Assistant program required. LPN preferred. Support physicians in the development and implementation of patient care within an ophthalmic office. Act as a liaison between physicians, mid-level providers, and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care.

Requires a High School Diploma and either a Clinical Medical Assistant program completion or COA certification, with LPN preferred. Candidates must have knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, and obtain COA certification within two years of hire.
