Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Location: British Columbia, Canada Professional Summary Russell Tobin is seeking experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurses (Med-Surg RNs) for travel assignments across British Columbia. This opportunity is ideal for nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care in acute care settings while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical and surgical patients. Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and treatment progress. Administer medications, IV therapy, blood products, and prescribed treatments. Deliver pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, and interdisciplinary teams. Monitor for changes in patient condition and respond appropriately. Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and recovery. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records. Qualifications Required Qualifications Current registration and good standing with BCCNM. Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience. Current BLS Certification. Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly to new healthcare environments and workflows. Flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and statutory holidays. Preferred Qualifications Previous travel nursing experience. Experience in acute care hospital settings. ACLS Certification. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR). Position Details Assignment Length: 4-13 Weeks (Potential Extension) Schedule and Shifts: Full-time hours (80 Hours Bi-Weekly) with rotating shifts based on operational needs Compensation: CAD $49-$60 per Hour Benefits Travel and accommodation support provided.
