Registered Practical Nurse - Permanent Part-Time Heatherwood Retirement Residence Rate of Pay: $26.31 Shifts : Part-Time |11:00 PM - 7:00 AM (Overnights) | 4 shifts bi-weekly This posting is for an existing vacancy. As a Registered Practical Nurse, you will provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care that supports residents’ health, safety, and overall well-being. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day. What makes you a great fit? • Strong knowledge of safe medication administration, with the ability to prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and the College of Nurses of Ontario standards • Excellent documentation and communication skills, with the ability to following up on all concerns and complaints forwarded by a Client, family or team members and informs/seeks assistance from the Registered Nurse or designate • Promoting the Client’s self-care and self-sufficiency, emphasize adaptation and abilities, promote wellness and provide preventative health education, thus by treating the whole person • Proven ability to complete assessments, RAPS, and individualized care plans accurately and within required timeframes • Supporting the unregulated care workers through guidance, direction, training and education • Post-graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration is an asset • Performing other duties as assigned What you need to know: • Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario. • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate. • Current Medication Administration Certificate. • Minimum of one (1) year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN). • You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit • You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check • Sienna Senior Living may utilize artificial Intelligence to screen or assess applicants for this position Sienna Senior Living is committed to employment equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace.
