The Details Work Schedule: Casual (weekend availability)Competitive Pay: $17.06 - $17.38Job DescriptionWhat You'll Do As a valued member of our Senior Living team, you’ll help create a warm and welcoming environment where residents feel respected, cared for, and at home. Your role will be more than a job - it will be a daily opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life. As a Housekeeper you will: 1. Resident Room CleaningPerform daily cleaning of all assigned resident rooms (32 beds)Clean and disinfect:High-touch surfaces (bed rails, call bells, switches, handles)Bathrooms (toilets, sinks, grab bars)Dust and clean furniture, vents, and surfacesMop floors using microfiber systemReplace waste liners and remove garbage2. Infection Prevention & Control (IPAC)Follow all IPAC protocols including:Hand hygiene before/after each roomPPE usage (gloves, gowns, masks as required)Perform high-touch cleaning minimum twice dailyUse color-coded microfiber system to prevent cross-contaminationFollow enhanced cleaning protocols during outbreaks (2–4 hour cycles)3. RHA Common AreasResponsible for cleaning within assigned home area:Dining rooms, lounges, corridorsNursing stations and kitchenette areasSpa/bathing rooms and equipmentTasks include:Disinfection of tables, chairs, rails, and touchpointsFloor care (mopping, auto-scrub as required)Waste removal and odor control4. Waste & Environmental ManagementRemove garbage and recycling dailyMaintain garbage rooms and chute areasPrevent buildup of debris and contamination risks5. Deep Cleaning DutiesParticipate in scheduled rotational deep cleaningTasks include:Moving furnitureCleaning vents, baseboards, windowsDeep cleaning bathrooms (tiles, grout)6. Safety & ReportingIdentify and report:Maintenance issuesSafety hazardsEnsure proper chemical handling (WHMIS compliant)7. Resident-Centered CareRespect for residents’ privacy and dignityCommunicate professionally with residents and staffMaintain a calm, respectful presence in care areasQualificationsWhat You Bring Experience in healthcare or LTC housekeeping preferredKnowledge of IPAC practicesAbility to work independently within assigned RHAPhysically able to perform cleaning tasks Additional InformationWhy Sodexo?
