Position Details Job Number: JR01621 Department: Birthing Area Labour and Delivery This position may be scheduled at any of the following sites: Charlton Campus (Hamilton Downtown) Job Type: Regular, Part time Contract Duration: (If applicable) 0 months Number of Positions: 1 Union: ONA Local 75 Hourly Rate (Min / Max): $41.15 - $58.98 Schedule Work Days: Holidays, Monday to Sunday, Weekends Time of Day: Days, Nights Shift: Hours -12 Shift Start: (If applicable) Reason for Posting: Posting is for a role with an existing vacancy Application Dates Opening Date: 2026-08-11 Closing Date: 2026-08-18 Job Description Position Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) is a regulated health care professional who adheres to and models the Standards and Guidelines of the College of Nurses of Ontario; the SJHH mission vision and values policies and procedures; and applicable specialty standards. The RN provides patient/client-centred and evidence informed care to promote health and assess the need for the provision of care and the treatment of health conditions by supportive preventative therapeutic palliative and rehabilitation means in order to attain or maintain optimal patient/client function. The RN collaborates with the inter-professional team and assumes a leadership role in the delivering a full range of care and treatment to patient/clients including those with complex needs high acuity and less predictable outcomes. Qualifications: •Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required •Current clinical experience related (within last 2 years) to the Women's and Infants' Program •Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification or commitment to successfully complete within 3 months of employment •Willingness and ability to cross-train within the Women's and Infants' program citing a secondary area of interest •Preference will be given to candidates who possess the following: a) Perinatal Nursing Certificate from a recognized College or C.N.A. certification b) Breastfeeding Certificate from a recognized College program c) International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) designation d) Maternal-Fetal monitoring experience preferred •Demonstrated organizational interpersonal communication teaching problem-solving and delegation skills •Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and learning related to the nursing care of childbearing women newborns children and their families •Good attendance and work record is essential •A resume regarding further education special courses and experience should accompany the application St. Joseph’s Health System (SJHS) and its member organizations are equal opportunity employers and strives for equity, inclusiveness, and diversity in all programs, practices, facilities, and people. Exigences

Candidates must hold current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and possess recent clinical experience in a Women's and Infants' program. Neonatal Resuscitation Provider certification is required, and additional perinatal or lactation certifications are considered strong assets.
