RN - Registered Nurse - Pedi Hematology Oncology - Days

The Pediatric Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of pediatric patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team. The Pediatric Registered Nurse is also responsible for professional accountability and development. The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with pediatric patient, family, and significant others Identifies pediatric patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment. The Pediatric Registered Nurse independently provides care for pediatric patients using clinical standards and the nursing process. They collaborate with inter-disciplinary teams to develop, prioritize, and update patient care plans while ensuring a safe environment.

Candidates must hold a Registered Nurse license and BLS certification with at least one year of acute care experience. An Associate's Degree in Nursing is required, while a Bachelor's degree, PALS, and experience in Pediatrics or Oncology are preferred.
